Alba is the Gaelic name for Scotland. And Fair Isle knitting originated on the remote island of Fair Isle. The unique pattern created by our knitwear designer is inspired by the highlands – snow-capped mountains, fast-flowing rivers and a humble bramble flower that’s known as ‘the Christmas Rose’.

The ultimate layering piece for your cold weather wardrobe it's crafted from a wool and cotton blend, has a high ribbed neck, dropped shoulders and wide sleeves with deep ribbed cuffs. With winter being all about sumptuous layering, the jumper's relaxed fit means there's plenty of room for a top (or two) underneath.
